The Twins
The twins, were rescued in early 08 just as they were being trafficked across the border into India. fortunately they escaped the horrors of sexual abuse and forced prostitution but it was deemed they and their twelve year old sister (rescued at the same time) could not be safetly returned to their community. They are now in the care of Asha Nepal and recieving a good education.
House Mother Workshop
Asha Nepal hold a workshop for house mothers and their assistants from our residential projects at Shakti Samuha. When the weather is right meetings often spill out onto the balcony!

- Employment Helping trafficked, abused and HIV-positive women to train and find jobs, in order to become self-sufficient
- Advocacy and legal work Applying international pressure to stop human rights abuses, helping bring about convictions
