AN found them a temporary home run by a small local NGO, and by 2009 had raised funds to move them into its own small children's home. In 2010 they moved again to a larger home catering for up to 24 residents. The aim of the home is to give short- to medium-term support with the objective of placing the child safely back with their family as soon as possible - although this is often a complex and challenging process.
The centre and education are almost fully funded, but we still need support for clothing and other expenses as well as education for new children in our care. AN also funds other children affected by trafficking on a non-residential basis. Please support the children.
New home for trafficked girls
A key objective for 2011-12 is to open a second home for girls of school age who have been trafficked, forced out of their family and wish to return to full-time education. Asha Nepal urgently needs to raise £15,000 per annum to set up and run this second home. Please help fund this girls' home. Every little helps!
