Asha-Nepal is a UK-registered charity working for the rights of women and children in Nepal. Asha is the Nepali word for hope. Our aim is to bring hope where there was none to women and children in Nepal.

We work with Nepali partner organisations, supporting projects to help women and girls from exploitative, dangerous and abusive situations, in particular those trafficked into the sex industries of India, Nepal and the Middle East; victims of sexual and physical abuse; domestic slaves; and those with HIV/Aids. We are committed to fighting against all forms of exploitation and oppression of females in Nepal. We wish to see their status in society raised, through education, training and security, to give them more independence and a voice.

MY WORLD, MY VIEW: Exhibition of photos at the Royal College of Art raised over £12,000!

The exhibition of photographs by girls from SOS Bahini in Pokhara, which cares for girls from disadvantaged backgrounds, gave viewers an insight into life for low-caste girls in Nepal, with more than 60 photos and the accompanying book, My World, My View, on show and for sale. Proceeds will go to the 22 participants for further education and to help give them an independent future. Visit the gallery to see and purchase the photos or buy the book.
