Asha-Nepal was created in 1997 as the Maiti Children’s Trust to assist Nepali NGO Maiti Nepal the leading organisation fighting against trafficking in SE Asia. Since then we have gone on to network with numerous organisations and to fund other groups of rescued women throughout Nepal and to support organisations that carry out recue and repatriation work in Deli and Mumbai (Bombay). As the Trust was working with a number of organisations in both India and Nepal it was felt it less confusing for the Trust to form its own identity as Asha-Nepal.

Asha Nepal is a UK registered charity, Charity Commission no. 1082581

The current Trustees are Peter Bashford, Sue Carpenter, John Hitchman and Frances Spackman. Finance and accounting; Gayner Smith.
